Hallow's End has arrived...again

Once again Hallow's End has arrived. This is one of the most fun world events in the game. As Brewfest awarded Trinkets, Hallow's End awards Rings. This is a great opportunity to upgrade your low level rings to new ilvl 365 rings. Also included are a new sword and a plate helm. As always players will receive a Treat Bag dropped once per day in the boss fight with a possible reward of the The Horseman's Reins. This is a rare drop sought after by many players. Other possible drops from the bag include the Hallowed Helm and the Magic Broom mount. This year we have 3 new pets obtainable from the event. The first two (Little Wickerman and Feline Familiar) are purchased using the Tricky Treat currency obtained in the event and the third (Creepy Crate) obtained from a quest line. The Sinister Squashling pet will also be making a return appearance this year.

One additional change to take note in is that the quest A Mask for All Occasions has been altered. Originally this quest was required for the Hallow's End meta-achievement. However this quest was dropped from the meta due to the difficulty and rarity of the mask drops. Originally this quest could require two to four years to complete. The masks are now purchasable from a vendor in-game during this event. They are available for a cost of 2-5 Tricky Treats each. This will allow everyone to complete this once impossible quest.

Unfortunately Hallow's End does not provide us with much of an opportunity to make gold. Many people will be selling wand transformations for the achievement The Masquerade but this is not very profitable. Tanks and healers can sell their insta-queues for the daily boss fights. However the drops are all BoP and non-disenchantable. Weighted Jack-o'-Lanterns for the quest Check Your Head sell well on the AH for the first couple of days. Meta gems and enchant weapon scrolls may see a slight uptick in sales depending on the frequency of the helm and sword drops.

Below is the list of new items that drop from the boss fight Bring Me The Head of… Oh Wait to kill the Headless Horseman in Scarlet Monastery. Please note that all of the rings are “unique” and only one of each can be equipped per character.
